proud to be recognized as equity specialists in climate adaptation.

verge

we’re proud to share that verge has been included in the climate smart communities initiative registry of adaptation practitioners as a specialist in integrating equity into climate adaptation and resilience efforts.

climate adaptation conversations often focus on infrastructure, energy, and disaster response.

sexual and reproductive health belongs in that conversation too.

when people can make informed decisions about their reproductive lives in a changing climate, they are better positioned to adapt, respond, and recover from climate-related risks. that strengthens resilience at the individual, household, and community level.

as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we work at the intersection of climate, health, and equity through:

  • participatory research and evaluation
  • big data analytics
  • intersectional analysis
  • translation of evidence into practical policy and program solutions

we believe evidence should move beyond reports and directly inform action, especially for communities disproportionately affected by climate change and longstanding health inequities.

we’re excited to contribute this perspective alongside fellow practitioners advancing equitable climate resilience through the climate smart communities Initiative.

we invite you to explore our registry profile, learn more about the important work being led by fellow practitioners across the registry, and follow the broader efforts of the climate smart communities initiative to strengthen community-centered climate adaptation and resilience.

If your work intersects with climate adaptation, health equity, gender equity, or community resilience, we’d love to connect. Reach us at info@vergeresearch.org
